Launching a business is an exhilarating journey—but it can also be overwhelming, especially when you’re in charge of everything. I’m talking about the marketing, the planning, the content creation—it’s a lot. But here’s the thing: it doesn’t have to be that way.
As entrepreneurs, we often face the challenge of deciding whether to handle everything ourselves or outsource parts of the process. To make this decision easier, let’s play a quick game. Ready?
Picture This: Two Types of Entrepreneurs
Scenario 1: Entrepreneur A – The Confident, Stress-Free Launch
Imagine this entrepreneur is chill. Their launch is planned to perfection, and they are actually enjoying the process. Why? Because they’ve decided to outsource their marketing tasks to experts. They’re not stressing over social media posts, content calendars, or even email campaigns. They’ve got the support they need and are free to focus on other aspects of their business—like making sales, connecting with clients, and doing what they love.
Entrepreneur A is working smart, not hard.
Scenario 2: Entrepreneur B – The Overwhelmed, Stressed-Out Business Owner
Now, picture another entrepreneur: they’re running on caffeine, staring at a never-ending to-do list, and avoiding social media like the plague. Why? Because they’ve taken on every task themselves, including marketing their launch. The constant juggling is draining, and social media feels like another mountain to climb. They’re overwhelmed, stressed, and not enjoying the experience. Worst of all? Their marketing is suffering.
Entrepreneur B is working hard, but not smart.
So, Which Entrepreneur Are You?
Are you feeling like Entrepreneur A, who’s confident and stress-free thanks to outsourcing? Or do you feel like Entrepreneur B, stuck on the never-ending hamster wheel of doing everything yourself and throwing things at the wall to see what sticks.
If you’re currently stuck in the B-zone, you’re not alone. Many entrepreneurs find themselves here, especially during a big launch. But here’s the thing: it doesn’t have to be this way!
You don’t have to do it all yourself. You can run a successful, stress-free launch while still staying on top of your business’s marketing—without burning out.
How to Get Out of the B-Zone
If you want to make the leap from Entrepreneur B to Entrepreneur A, it starts with recognizing that you don’t have to do everything yourself. Here’s how:
- Outsource Your Marketing Efforts
One of the best decisions I made when launching my business was choosing to outsource my marketing efforts. I’m talking about the small stuff so I didn’t have to sweat. Things like scheduling my social posts, handling the social media engagement and answering of messages, helping with creation of graphics, etc. This allowed me to focus on other parts of my business like creating the content and making the sale.
Whether it’s hiring a marketing strategist, a content creator, or a social media manager, delegating marketing tasks will free up your time and mental energy.
- Prioritize the Tasks That Matter Most
Not all tasks are created equal—some directly impact your business growth, while others drain your time without real results. Identify the tasks that truly matter, like engaging with potential clients, refining your offer, or closing sales. Everything else? Automate, delegate, or eliminate. For example, instead of spending hours designing graphics or scheduling social media posts, use a scheduling tool or hire a content manager. Freeing yourself from busy work allows you to focus on high-impact activities that drive your launch forward.

Leverage Time-Saving Tools
There are countless tools out there to help you save time and streamline your marketing efforts. Email marketing platforms like Mailchimp or Mailerlite, scheduling tools like Later, and content planning apps like Trello can all help you stay organized and consistent with your marketing. And let’s not forget Asana – my favorite tool for not forgetting what tasks I need to be doing with a deadline! -
Get Support and Ask for Help
Sometimes, it’s okay to ask for help. Whether it’s a mentor, a coach, or a colleague, having someone to talk to and get advice from can make a huge difference in reducing stress. Don’t hesitate to reach out for support when you need it! Make connections in your niche of people you can rely on to ask questions or get advice. -
Invest in Your Business
At the end of the day, outsourcing isn’t just an expense—it’s an investment. By hiring experts or using tools that take the load off your shoulders, you’re positioning yourself for a more successful, stress-free launch and a thriving business in the long run. Think about it: Would a restaurant open without having a menu or a chef in the kitchen? Just like a restaurant needs a solid team to run smoothly, your business needs the right support to grow efficiently.
