Are you building a large following, but having a hard time making the sale?
Are you about to launch your business and trying to figure out how to convert your followers into clients?
As a coach or service provider, it’s not enough to just grow your audience and gain followers, you also have to master CONVERTING those leads into sales.
It all starts with understanding the lead conversion path which is where myself as an OBM comes in real handy!
Consider it as a trail of M&M’s for ET. You want to put them ever so far apart, yet close enough together to keep people’s attention in order to lead them to the ultimate goal – the sale.
So, let’s take a look at a few of my favorite lead conversion strategies so that you can master the art of turning those leads into sales in no time.
Content Marketing
No matter what stage of your launch you may be in, content marketing should be your number one priority. Content creation is what’s going to make or break the sale because content is how you show people you know your stuff. Your content can ultimately gain your audience’s trust and gets them to the point where they want to work with you. If you aren’t creating content, your audience isn’t going to notice you let alone understand you know what you’re doing, making it that much harder to make the sale.
Did you know: 93% of B2B companies say that content marketing is their number one lead generation tool? It’s the same for online entrepreneurs like yourself. Content is what drives your ideal client to check out what you have to offer. This is the first stage to building a reputation for yourself. What you do with the content once you create it is where these next strategies come into play.
Lead Generation Forms
Sign up forms, registration forms, contact forms – the list can go and on and on. The thing all of these forms have in common is the end goal – turning those leads into conversions. Each form should have a CTA, whether it’s signing up for your opt-in freebie or signing up for a spot on your calendar, in your online course, or just to learn more information about your launch. They need to be action oriented and relevant to your goal and your ideal client.
These lead generation forms can be placed anywhere. They could be a pop up or embed form on your website or landing page, on your social media, OR the form can be its own landing page. The possibilities are endless.
Driving Followers to a Landing Page
The landing page is where the magic happens. A landing page is where you compile all of the information about your offer and it’s ultimately where the conversion is going to happen. Whether the landing page had an option to sign up for your offer, opt in for your freebie, or book a time on your calendar, the landing page is crucial to making the sale. As with each strategy listed here, your content creation and marketing on your landing page needs to be informative, engaging, and not to mention: clear. Be up-front to your ideal clients with a nice call to action and that lead will become a conversion in no time.
Email Marketing
Email marketing is a great resource to build and nurture those relationships with potential clients that are already interested in your business. And you can be confident that they are interested in your services because they subscribed to your list!
So, how can you get people on your email list?
By creating a compelling opt-in offer that people can’t resist, you will be building your email list in no time. This is so important because in order to utilize email marketing, you have to have people to email right?
No matter how big or small your email list is, weekly emails are a must in order to stay top of mind and compel your audience to want to take action and learn more about you and your offers. Don’t be sporadic about it and only do it every now and then, because people get a lot of emails in their inbox daily and you don’t want them to forget about you.
This is the perfect opportunity to share information, educate, and promote your services!
Social Media
This should be an obvious one right?
It’s true, social media is a super valuable resource to increase awareness/visibility around your business or new offer.
Facebook Groups, Instagram Stories, Pinning your blog posts – all of these are super helpful tools in connecting with your potential clients on a much higher level.
You already know your potential clients are using social media, so by being consistent and posting each day to your platforms, you can be confident in knowing that your next client will find you in no time.
As with both email marketing and social media, content creation plays a HUGE role in these strategies. Each one is just as important as the next when you are looking to generate more leads for your launch.
